Must Read

Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara of Babbar Khalsa International has been acquitted from charges in the foiled attempt to assassinate former Haryana Chief Minister Bhajan Lal in 1995.

Bhai Jagtar Singh was arrested from the Metro Hotel in Ambala in January 1996, and said to be in possession of illegal weapons. He was charged under section 25 of the Arms Act.

In 2007, A Sessions Court had awarded ten years imprisonment to Jagtar Singh Hawara and four others in this case. The Ambala police in 1995 had registered a case against 13 persons, including two women while claiming to have foiled a conspiracy to assassinate Bhajan Lal.

Bhai Hawara has been present at the court dates in this case via video conferencing and yesterday after 18 long years, the bundle of lies was exposed in the Ambala courtroom.

Others who have been acquitted in the case are:  Hukam Singh, Malak Singh, Kulbir Singh and Gurjeet Singh.

It is worth remembering, this is just one of the many cases that Jagtar Singh Hawara has been framed in, so this is a small light at the end of a very long tunnel…..
