Bargari (Faridkot)-  A gathering of more than 25,000 Sikhs passed nine resolutions at Bargari today and set November 15 as the deadline for the state to implement these or face protests. They threatened to gherao ministers and Akali MLAs, if the deadline was not met.

Over 70 religious preachers, leaders and representatives of various panthic organisations had finalised a draft that was presented before the gathering on the bhog of deceased Sikh protesters Bhagwan Krishan Singh and Gurjeet Singh.No representative from the Sant Samaj was present on the occasion.

The congregation passed nine resolutions:

  1. The first declaring Badal bloodsucker’. It was decided that all Sikh preachers, Ragi, Dhadhi and Granthis would assemble at Fatehgarh Sahib on October 30 and would start march to offer their blood to Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.
  2. The second resolution said that Sikh Sangat would start Akhand Path in every village and town of Punjab on October 27 and Bhog will be performed on October 29. The Sikhs will hold protest in front of Lal Qila Delhi on November 1.
  3. The third resolution said that Sikhs would hold protests with black flags from 12 to 3 by standing on both sides of roads without blocking traffic to lodge peaceful protest against sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib.
  4. The fourth resolution demanded an explanation from Badal that Siklhs lodged in jails outside Punjab had been released but why he is not releasing detainees in Punjab jails.
  5. The fifth resolutions was that upcoming Diwali would not be celebrated, instead it will be known as a “Black Divali” where black flags should be displayed installed install of lights.
  6. The sixth resolution demanded immediate release of Rupinder Singh and Jaswinder Singh, immediate action against killers of two Sikh youth. The resolution also warned Badal against ‘martyrdom’ of Bapu Surat Singh who is on fast unto death for demand of release of Sikhs lodged in Punjab jails.
  7. The seventh resolution said that Sikhs had lost faith in Shiromani Gurdwara Parbhandak Committee (SGPC) and fresh elections of Committee be conducted soon.
  8. The eighth resolution has warned Sikhs against conspiracies of ‘Panthic Government’ against Sikhs, economic exlpoitation, atrocities on Sikhs and blamed the SAD government for humiliation of women in the police stations, damaging image of Sikh commnunity and demanded CBI probe into injustice done to Punjab farmers by this government and gulity of pesticide scam be punished.
  9. The ninth resolution served ultimatum to Badal government to accept their demands before November 15 otherwise Sikhs would gherao residences of Akali Dal MLAs, MPs and ministers. The congregation also called for complete social boycott of Akali leaders after November 15.
