Bathinda/Talwandi Sabo (August 2, 2014): A day after the cancelation of ticket given by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to him, noted Punjabi singer Balkar Sidhu has announced to contest by-elections of Talwandi Sabo assembly segment as independent candidate.
It is worth to mention that on Friday Aam Adami Party high command cancelled the ticket given to Sidhu, following the opposition faced by him for his controversial Punjabi songs that promote liquor and other drugs.
In addition to various social outfits, Party workers in Talwandi Sabo had also reportedly opposed ticket to Balkar Sidhu and a campaign was started on social media while newspapers had published reports about the songs sung by Balkar Sidhu alleging that those songs were promoting vulgarity and consumption of liquor.
The new announcement made by Balkar Sidhu has brought new twist to electoral scene in Talwandi Sabo.
