Melbourne – So first season of Awaaz-e-Punjab Australia Singing contest has finally come to an end and we might as well add, what a finale that be.
The show had some of the finest of Punjabi singers this year which included the top 10 finalists Agamjot Singh, Arminder Sandhu, Khushi, Simranjit, Ajay, Pankaj, Daman, Sumandeep, Priyanka and Tarlochan Singh. However, unfortunately we can only have one winner and we’ve just got to hear that the title of Awaaz-e-Punjab Australia 2016 has gone to none other than Arminder Singh. Yes! He’s the one guys!
From being a casual singer to win the prestigious title of ‘Awaaz-e-Punjab Australia’ organised by Folk & Rock Music Academy in Melbourne and that too after picking up Punjabi accent in most fluent manner, Amrinder consistently won hearts since the start of the show.
The first runner up of the contest was won by Ajay Singh and second runner up was Agamjot Singh. The runner ups were presented cheques of $500 and $300 respectively.
The judges of this show were Musician Tejwant Kittu, Sachin Ahuja, Punjabi Singers Roshan prince and Gagan Kokri. The anchoring was done by Deepak Bawa and Bobby Sandhu. The platinum sponsors of the show were AITT academy and House of Spices.
The event was recorded by Red Dot Media and will be broadcasted at RTV Punjabi. The event photography was done by Jasmeet photography.
Kudos to Arminder for winning the title of Awaaz-e-Punjab Australia 2016. Indeed, he truly deserves it and we wouldn’t be surprised if he soon grows up to become a top singing sensation in Punjabi Industry/Pollywood. What say?
