August 15 is a black day for the Sikh Nation, which suffers under brutal Indian oppression. For that reason, Indian Independence Day is a black day for the Sikh Nation. India has murdered over 250,000 Sikhs since 1984, according to the Punjab courts and an April 14, 1997 letter from a coalition of human-rights groups. It has also killed over 200,000 Christians, almost 60,000 Kashmiri Muslims, and untold thousands of Assamese, Manipuris, Dalits (the dark-skinned aboriginal people of South Asia), and others.
This is a black day for Sikhs & all other minorities who have been enslaved under the Hindutva State since August 15th 1947, all the voices for the freedom of Minorities have been crushed through various Genocides and mass Human Rights Violations across what it known to be ‘India’.
On this day our beloved Punjab was split between India & Pakistan, the Sikh Nation who fought for the Freedom of South Asia was left as a landless nation under occupation by Hindutva Bhamanvaad India. The Sikh Homeland handed over to the Hindus against the wishes of the Sikh nation and divided into East and West Punjab.
Punjab was divided into East and West Punjab. A major segment of the Sikh community was uprooted from their ancestoral land and forced to migrate to India. This day marks the Independence day for India. Though citizens of India, the Sikh community encountered organized and pre-meditated killings of their members, looting of all their worldly possessions, and general human suffering and deprivation that is unparalleled in the history of humankind. Over two lakh Sikhs gave their lives in search of freedom while being forcibly migrated to East Punjab. However, until today the independence promise remains unfulfilled for the Sikh community. The community itself continues to persists in petty internal squibled, allow others to dictate terms, and is unable to establish its own sovereign state where Sikhs may prosper without any restriction. More than the lost lives, dearer than homes and lands left behind, was the Holy Nankana Sahib, the birth place of Guru Nanak Dev. Numerous other historical Gurudwaras were also left behind with their fates unknown.
As many of the sacrifices made for the struggle for independence were made by the Sikhs, M.K.Ghandi had promised the Sikhs that “No Constitution would be acceptable to the Congress which did not satisfy the Sikhs”. This led the Sikhs at the time to believe that Ghandi was a man working in the interest of the Sikhs. Looking back at this event it is clear that the Sikhs were side-lined, as not a single Sikh accepted and signed the constitution.
The 1984 Terrorist Military Attack On Sri Harmandir Sahib & subsequent Genocide of Sikhs till this day are witness to how much Freedom Sikhs really have.
