20 December 2013, Mohali – During a statement given at Gurdwara Amb Sahib yesterday evening, Baba Ranjit Singh Khalsa Dhadrianwale have reiterated their pledge to support the cause of releasing Sikh prisoners. The religious preacher, after a further meeting with the respected Sikh activist on Day 36 of his hunger strike, has appealed to all Sikhs and Sikh organisations to advance this campaign only under the direction of Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa.
Baba Ranjit Singh has assured Bhai Gurbaksh Singh that if he should request it of them, they are ready to indefinitely settle at Gurdwara Amb Sahib as of 21 December where they will do Diwaans in Mohali for the foreseeable future in order to gather Punjab’s Sikh Sangat and campaign with Bhai Sahib for as long as it takes. Bhai Gurbaksh Singh have asked Baba Ranjit Singh to wait for two days whilst they formulate the next course of action and only if he gives the directive to initiate ‘Guru Maneo Granth Chetna Samagam’ at Gurdwara Amb Sahib should Baba Ranjit Singh take the step.
Agreeing with the sentiments of Bhai Sahib, Baba Ranjit Singh has said, “It would be unjustifiable for anyone to announce their own course of action or instigate their own programme whilst Bhai Sahib remains in Chardi Kalaa at Gurdwara Amb Sahib. In the event Bhai Sahib no longer wishes to lead the campaign, only then can responsibility be passed to others, however, until now every course of direction has been given under the instruction of Bhai Gurbaksh Singh and that should continue to be the case”.
The preacher stated, “If any party attempts to hijack the movement and make their own decisions, it would be harmful for the entire nation. No one must do anything on their own accord as Bhai Sahib is doing well and continues to be in Chardi Kalaa to lead the campaign which they started, in their own way. To maintain the strength of unity being created in this movement, I am ready to accept any direction of Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Ji and only if they should wish, will large scale Diwaans be organised in Mohali”.
“It is after a long time this opportunity has finally come to create awareness and raise the just cause of releasing Sikh prisoners unlawfully languishing in Indian jails and any step taken mischievously by people on their own accord can cause a damaging effect on the peaceful campaign.”
Bhai Gurbaksh Singh has requested Baba Ranjit Singh Khalsa to in the meanwhile continue with their Diwaans across Punjab, creating awareness and informing Punjab’s masses at the grassroots level of the recent happenings at Gurdwara Amb Sahib.
